Privacy Policy

Effective June 10, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information across the buildaloud.ai property, including this blog and our projects hosted on subdomains — notably the Tower Defense game at td.buildaloud.ai. "We" refers to Build Aloud, operated by Chad Furman. Questions? Email chad@chadfurman.com.

Information we collect

  • Usage & device data. When you visit, we automatically receive standard technical data (browser type, device, pages viewed, and an IP address from which approximate location may be derived). This blog uses Google Analytics for aggregate usage statistics.
  • Account information (game). If you sign in to the Tower Defense game, we collect your email address. Sign-in uses Google Sign-In (OAuth) or a one-time "magic link" emailed to you.
  • Game progress. The game stores your saved progress both locally on your device and, when you are signed in, in our cloud database so it syncs across devices.
  • Advertising data. The game shows ads via Google AdSense. Google and its partners may set cookies or similar identifiers to deliver ads and, where you consent, to personalize them.

How we use information

  • To provide, operate, and improve the blog and the game.
  • To authenticate you and save and sync your game progress.
  • To display advertising that helps keep the game free to play.
  • To understand aggregate usage so we can make things better.

Cookies & similar technologies

We and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies for analytics and, in the game, for advertising. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we ask for your consent before using non-essential cookies via a consent banner, and you can change or withdraw your choice at any time.

Third-party services

We rely on the following processors, each under its own privacy terms:

  • Supabase — authentication and storage of your game saves.
  • Google — AdSense (ads), Analytics (usage), and Google Sign-In. See how Google uses data from sites that use its services.
  • Resend — delivery of one-time sign-in emails.

Advertising & your choices

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits. You can opt out of personalized Google advertising via Google Ads Settings, and out of many third-party vendors via aboutads.info. In the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, advertising cookies are used only as permitted by your consent choice.

Data retention

We keep your account email and game saves while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing chad@chadfurman.com.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email chad@chadfurman.com and we will respond.

Children

Our services are not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

International transfers

We and our providers process data in the United States and other countries. By using our services you understand your information may be transferred and processed there.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services evolve. We will revise the "Effective" date above when we do; material changes will be noted on this page.
